Brookes and Hose headline Hundred deals whilst pears pathway products pen contracts

Published 13/03/2026

Worcestershire stars Ethan Brookes and Adam Hose both made the headlines on Thursday during the annual Hundred auction, with the pair securing new deals for the upcoming 2026 competition.

After a standout summer in white ball cricket, during which he showed his T20 prowess as a formidable all-rounder, Ethan was rewarded with a deal with Birmingham Phoenix for this year’s tournament.

Amassing 380-runs, including three half-centuries, and recording best figures of 3-30 with the ball, the 24-year-old has gained a reputation as one of the most dangerous short-format players in the country.

Having made a full recovery from his season-ending injury midway through 2025, Adam also returns to the competition this year, with his new side, London Spirit.

The Worcestershire Rapids vice-captain will be looking to make his mark in what will be his fifth season playing in The Hundred.

Amongst the other players to earn contracts were a raft of former Worcestershire players, who are products of the Club’s well-renowned Pathway programme.

Men’s Pathway graduates who earned deals for this year’s Hundred competition included Joe Clarke, Josh Tongue, George Scrimshaw and Ed Barnard.

There were also a handful of contracts for some of the Women’s Rapids alumni, including Em Arlott, Phoebe Brett, Charis Pavely, Ellie Anderson, Sarah Glenn and Issy Wong.

Head of Academy at the Club, Elliot Wilson, highlighted his pride at seeing both current and former representatives of the  Club progressing to play in the competition.

“We should take great pride in, and see it as a real compliment, that so many players representing franchises in the Hundred have come through our club and progressed along its pathway.

“It reflects the strength of the environment we’ve created, the quality of coaching and support in place, and the commitment the club has made to developing players and giving them the opportunity to progress to the highest levels of the game.”
