Henry’s Bank Holiday Brilliance Headlines Week Two of the Birmingham Premier League

Last weekend saw the Birmingham Premier League enter its second week of action for 2026, as Worcestershire stars once again made the headlines.  

Henry Cullen produced a sensational 97* from just 44 deliveries for Barnt Green as they dismantled Moseley by 10 wickets.   

Worcestershire’s youngster blitzed 13 fours and five sixes, striking at 220 in an incredible individual cameo that saw his side chase down Moseley’s 128 in just 15.4 overs.   

Pathway product Toby Cox featured Ombersley’s thrilling four-run win over Knowle and Dorridge, in a game affected by rain.   

Having chipped in with seven for his team from number eight, Cox returned economical figures of 0-43 from an eight-over spell as Ombersley defended a DLS revised total of 143 by just four runs.   

Paceman Lucian Brockman showed why he is so highly regarded by the Worcestershire hierarchy, continuing his excellent start to 2026.   

The bowler returned excellent figures of 2-21 from his seven overs during Himley’s successful defence of 153 against Harborne, helping his team to a 15-run victory.   

Smethwick showed no signs of easing up in their early-season charge at the top of the table as they eased to a seven-wicket win over Halesowen in a game that saw two Worcestershire youngsters go head-to-head.   

Joe Porter stroked seven boundaries in a measured 69 from 128 balls as he opened the batting for Halesowen on route to their 232-7, before Isaac Mohammed made the same score at the top of the order for the opposition, albeit in slightly quicker time as the teenager’s 66-ball cameo helped his side ease to a seven-wicket win.   

The final encounter of the weekend saw Harry Darley (0-26) feature for Shrewsbury in their DLS defeat to Barnards Green, where young pacer Jeet Varaich returned figures of 1-29 to help his team to a comfortable 62-run win.
