Worcestershire County Cricket Club can today announce the extension of Oliver Hannon-Dalby’s loan agreement, effective immediately, for the next four matches.
Signing on an initial 14-day loan agreement from Warwickshire Country Cricket Club at the start of the season, Hannon-Dalby will be available for selection across Worcestershire’s next four rounds of the Rothesay County Championship.
Building on taking his first wicket for the Club in the season’s opener at Derbyshire, the right-arm seamer will be hoping to continue his fine form, having notched six wickets in the Pears’ hard-fought first win of the campaign away to Middlesex at Lord’s.
The vastly experienced Hannon-Dalby will be in contention to make his New Road debut next week, as Alan Richardson’s side welcome Kent for their opening home fixture of the season on Friday, 24th April.
Speaking ahead of the Kent clash, Worcestershire Head Coach Alan Richardson has expressed his delight at Hannon-Dalby’s extended stay.
“Olly has done brilliantly since coming into the group.
“He has hit the ground running and put in two brilliant performances, showing both his quality and professionalism.
“We’re really pleased to have Olly with us for the next four County Championship matches, and hopefully there’ll be plenty more wickets to come from him.”
After the season’s home opener against Kent, the Pears will hit the road once again, travelling to Northamptonshire on Friday 1st May, before returning to New Road to host a Durham side that should feature England Captain Ben Stokes on Friday 8th May.
Worcestershire then travel to Lancashire on Friday, 15th May, the concluding fixture of Hannon-Dalby’s revised loan spell.
