Phoebe Brett Re-joins Women’s Rapids on Season Long Loan

Published 17/04/2026

Worcestershire Women’s Rapids are delighted to announce the signing of Phoebe Brett, who re-joins the Club on a season-long loan from Warwickshire Women.

The left-arm spinner will be eligible for the Women’s Rapids Metro Bank 50-Over competition through the season and will be involved in the squad’s opening fixture this Sunday away at Sussex Sharks, subject to availability from her parent club.

Brett, who progressed through Worcestershire’s Emerging Player Pathway, enjoyed a stellar first season with the Women’s Rapids throughout 2025.

Hitting the ground running last year, the 17-year-old claimed four wickets in three matches, including season’s best figures of 3-19 against the Trent Rockets.

Having already featured for the England U19 Women’s T20 side, Brett’s eye-catching 2025 exploits led to further recognition, including a wild card call-up for Birmingham Phoenix in The Hundred.

Excited by the young prospect reuniting with the Club, Worcestershire Women’s Rapids Head Coach, Ed Wilson, explains how he hopes Phoebe can contribute to his side.

“She brings great quality with the ball.

“She can bowl ten overs every week and go for just 25 whilst taking two or three wickets, offering us a bit of control and quality as well.

“As a Worcester girl who came through our pathway and who is now a professional cricketer, we’re looking for her to help drive those professional standards that we’re looking to integrate here at Worcestershire.”

Despite her youth, Wilson is quick to highlight the bowlers’ qualities away from the pitch, as well as on it.

“She’ll be around the team the night before the game, as well as the game day, so the other girls will have the chance to pick her brains and get to know about what it takes to get to and perform at that level.

“She’s done well in the Blast, the Metro Bank One Day Cup and The Hundred, so she’s got a great pedigree for such a young kid.”
