It’s been a superb spell of cricket for Worcestershire all-rounder, Tom Taylor, with bat and ball and in all formats in Australia.
Taylor has been an inspirational figure for Victorian Cricket Association side, Altona North, since flying out for the second half of the winter.
He has already played a major role in them winning the T20 tournament and they are also through to the final of the first grade competition.
In first grade cricket, comprising a mixture of one and two-day games, Taylor has scored 270 runs at an average of 54 with a highest score of 98 against Oak Park.
He has also weighed in with 15 wickets at an average of 11.20 including 4-57 from 23 overs in the semi-final win over Doutta Stars.
The T20 format was also a resounding success for Taylor.
With the bat, the 30-year-old totalled 259 runs at an average of 51.80 with a top score of 79 not out against Yarraville.
He was also again effective with the ball with 12 wickets at 10.83.
In the final Taylor demonstrated his all-round worth by making 46 and returning 3-30 with the ball.
Taylor continued on from the excellent form he showed for Worcestershire during the second half of last season after returning from injury with 27 wickets in six County Championship appearances including a career-best 6-28 versus Warwickshire.
He returns to Visit Worcestershire New Road this week and will join up with his team-mates at Kidderminster for March 17 for pre-season training.
